Hoyden isn't a credible alternate to Evernote because it doesn't fling tagging. Tagging was considered by Romp developers a few geezerhood ago, and and so rejected in favour of notebooks. With tags, Tomboy would be my darling app. Without tags, it's difficult to organise notes. Notebooks are not about as useful as tags.

Recently got Romp when I installed Ubuntu on an bang-up laptop. Really impressed as a quick syncing notation system. Works cross platform, and best of all FREE! Just absent a smartphone app, and it'd be perfect.

Hoyden was peerless of the most lost applications when I affected from Linux to Mac. It's commodity to catch that it is at present available to both Mac and Windows!
