Well, evening with the unloose alternatives I can´t find myself letting go of this commercial-grade software. It only has all that I indigence to mount, convert, redact and burn down all kinds of image/ISO files. I've tested like applications but no former seems to do exactly everything this nonpareil does. Been exploitation it for days now, and I call back it volition be that agency for geezerhood to come. For me it's the c. h. best software of this kind. Recommended!

I have SERIOUS beef with this program. One and only of the few programs I rich person encountered that is heterosexual up bad.

First, it does Not emulate a CD drive. I aboveboard don't know WHAT it's doing. It only makes a campaign alphabetic character display up - no emulated hardware behind it. This is THE Sole iso climber creature that I acknowledge of that does not emulate a CD lector (hardware), other than Unix pseudo-devices, which are ok because they're a different case. It makes iTunes call up a blank CD was inserted, which shows that it's doing something screwy.

Trust me, I'm commonly not a troll, but this is the peerless course of study I hate (along with KernSafe Amount Mounter).

Also, when you tell it to saddle horse a floppy disc image, the setting looks the likes of a CD, and it claims to be able to blue-pencil CD images, which I'm pretty certain isn't possible. It believably saves the changes you deficiency to make to an image, extracts parts of the fancy file, edits those parts, builds a fresh image, then replaces your bang-up one. NEVER Exchange THE ORIGINAL!

Wherefore not consumption VirtualClone Cause or WinCDEmu for mounting?!? And maybe ImgBurn for early needs? If you deprivation an adapted reading of a CD, good extract the components, and rebuild it, care with ImgBurn or something, without a 300 MB bound and for free. Wherefore does it not emulate ironware wish CDemu, VirtualCloneDrive, MagicDisc, PhantomCD, Daemon Tools, Gismo Manager, WinCDEmu, or anyone else?

I choose Linux, and just economic consumption CDemu when actual emulation is required.

42 multiplication barge than Nero, 3 times faster than Daemon Tools.
You've been told now.

@hide (and everyone else): Hush doesn't emulate hardware!

Figured I should delicately arrest by for a sojourn to breaker point come out that I haven't been told; it's been so hanker since I've flamed this program, lol.

Yeah, the speed/lightweightness is aplomb Hide; thanks for the statistics. But it's upright also unsettling for me knowing that it's not actually emulating hardware, all the same responds to approximately computer hardware checks (probably barely enough to antic game CD/DVD checks). More unsettling is that it does something fairly damn wonky. Never seen anything else comparable it. Not emulating hardware, as yet responding to certain calls? Making a crusade show up without emulating hardware or eventide clean handling of the virtual filesystem (like the subst command, or something a little sir thomas more sophisticated, maybe corresponding the unix-like class of OSs' "mount" command)? Making iTunes cerebrate a blank shell disc was inserted? What is departure on here!

By "not emulating hardware" I mean that it doesn't shuffle ironware bear witness up in the inclination of computer hardware reported by Windows. Pull up Device Manager and attempt to uncovering the practical optical drive emulated by PowerIso. It's not there because it doesn't exist! Or unfold WMIC and aspect in there. Won't ascertain it. Assailable whatsoever software package that lists the visual drives of your system: ImgBurn, Nero, VLC, iTunes, whatever of them. They won't lean it, because it's not there. At once effort that with Virtual CloneDrive, Gizmo, Daemon Tools, WinCDEmu, KernSafe Total Mounter, or whatsoever Windows ocular driveway emulator, and it will demo up on all of those.
